Some things in life seem to be good for us - but they aren't.
You want to be more creative?
Have better ideas?
Now you can!
With this secret!
On my Birthday I did a road trip with Stephan Bosch from Aguascalientes to Guanajuato to celebrate and to make a video about photography. I wanted to show the world how photography had a big impact on me and how it changed my life. My intention was to tell how photography can improve your life!
For the project I borrowed a good camera from Sergio García!
One day before the trip he explained how the camera (and microphone) works.
Well, I didn't listen very carefully and a disaster happened!
So, always pay attention, 100% if someone is explaining you something. Especially in a restaurant where the music is so loud, that you feel like being in a club.
Watch the video for a quick tour.
It’s more like a conversation than an interview.
The video is 20 minutes.
If you have the time and patience, it will put a smile on your face.
We talk about the big 10-year photo project, about happiness and how kids can inspire us.
Mariana, it’s great news that you fell in love with photography. It will benefit you and the people around you a lot. Keep on clicking!

Feels comfortable and safe in your comfort zone, right?
But you are missing out!
"Life begins at the end of your comfort zone"
When I was younger I read many books on how to be more confident and fearless.
I knew a lot about this topic and could give seminars! But did it work? No, not for me.
But I wanted to be more confident and have less fear. So kept on researching.
Until I found the solution: you have to do the things which you are afraid of doing.
Simple, right. And it is!
I did several of the "comfort zone challenges".
The only thing uncomfortable is the thought about doing them.
I felt very nervous the moments before doing them.
BUT.
Once I did them, I felt great! I felt free! And not nervous at all.
When you step out of your comfort zone, the zone gets bigger and bigger.
Things which seemed scary before now feel comfortable.
The only thing holding us back are our thoughts and its unpleasant feelings.
But you are not a victim. You can decide to take action despite those thoughts and feelings.
And it works.
Those exercises made me more confident and less afraid.
And they can improve your life as well!
Good luck and see you soon outside your comfort zone.
That's what I said a few weeks ago to a friend.
We were talking about photography.
She likes to take selfies and is good at it.
I told her that I hate selfies.
She encouraged me to do selfies.
So I accepted the challenge.
I am a photographer after all! And I want to experience every style of photography.
Many selfies! And She always gave me feedback and encouraged me to continue.
It felt very uncomfortable in the beginning. VERY! I almost stopped.
Not anymore.
Now I like it.
Saying sometimes YES to things we say NO, can be rewarding.
Maybe if we say YES, it won't change anything. But maybe it does!
YES YES YES!
Thank you, Montserrat for challenging me.
What is the next challenge?
Sergio, thank you for the awesome welcome!
